Executive Leadership Team

We recognize the importance of managing a sound business in order to operate high-quality programs, attract top professionals and satisfy payor demands.

David Barrass

Executive Chairman

David Barrass joined ReMed in November of 2019 as the Executive Chairman, relocating from the UK to Pennsylvania. David has an extensive executive leadership background, holding a variety of CEO and Chairman positions in the United Kingdom and internationally across multiple industries including manufacturing, commercial management and residential care.

Arriving in the United States shortly before the COVID-19 Pandemic did not alter David’s strategic plans. He lead the August 2020 merger of ReMed and Learning Services, doubling the size of the company. David was excited by the opportunity to bring these organizations together because of their similar missions and reputations for clinical excellence. David’s top priority is the care of the clients we serve. He holds the organization to the highest standards of clinical rigor and customer service, just as our stakeholders expect.

David is passionate about developing strong leaders within the company. He has aligned the organization by appointing regional and corporate vice presidents, from within both companies, all of whom possess a deep breadth of experience in their areas of specialty. In addition, he has worked closely with the Executive team to build an infrastructure that supports current best practices and future growth.

Mary Pat Murphy, MSN, CRRN

Chief Clinical Officer

After spending time in acute care and rehabilitation, which solidified her passion for working with the catastrophically injured, Mary Pat applied to be a Case Manager at ReMed. She was offered the opportunity to develop and clinically manage ReMed’s new outpatient program. Promoted to Vice President of Clinical Services in 2001 she is now the Chief Clinical Officer of our newly merged organizations. She enjoys the professional challenges each day brings.

Mary Pat’s standard is that, as leaders in the field of post-acute neurorehabilitation, we provide exceptional treatment in our niche areas of neurobehavioral, community integration and co-occurring disorders. Her commitment is to ensure that what we do is “evidence-based.” When there is limited evidence in the field of brain injury to guide care, she encourages the team to look at other medical areas for guidance.
